Description

With an abundance of scenic and shoreline views—plus relatively flat topography—Richmond is a biking hotspot for cyclists of all skill levels. And with more than 80 kilometres (50 miles) of designated routes, you’ll also discover lots of camera-worthy urban, historic and nature-loving pit-stops en route.

There are many ways to travel from downtown Richmond to Steveston on two wheels. For this FAM, we will go on a scenic ride along the West Dyke Trail towards Steveston. This will be a 4.5 hour round-trip journey with two hours and 24 km of cycling.

We will also explore Richmond's two national historic sites - the Gulf of Georgia Cannery and the Britannia Shipyards.

You must know how to ride a bike and be comfortable with cycling for more than 20km (we will stop along the way) in order to fully enjoy this experience.
